yeah, it makes sense. yesterday, which was TODAY yesterday, i told you about tomorrow which is today. okay that's even more confusing.
just think present/future/past. that's all there is to it.

yes it does make sense it's meant to confuse people.
if you were talking someone one yesterday and they were telling you about the next day then the next day came and that friend started talking about it again then today is the tomorrow that was talked about yesterday.

If you had asked me yesterday to prepare an answer for today I could have asked you to give me till tomorrow to get back to you.

i get it... if it were yesterday, then today would be tomarrow... soooo... you have to think as if it were yesterday, it is the same as:
yesterdays tomarrow is tomarrows yesterday...
get it?

yes...it makes sense
because yesterday she told you about tomorrow...tomorrow is today...you have to base the statement on one day, which would be "today"
some people say "tomorrow is today and today is yesterday"

What's NOT to get?
If I told you tomorrow was the day I told you about the day before, would you remember to repeat it back to me, say, today? :P

Why were you confused? Yesterday, you would say "tomorrow" to refer to today.

I get it, however explaining to you would probably take too much time and energy ,,,as the phrase is self explanatory
