some of those "1 a Day" vitamins. By some I mean, 2 in the morning, 2 at lunch,2 at dinner, and 2 before you go to bed. So really you take 10 in that day. Can that actually hurt you? If there are any doctors out there or just people that know a lot about this then that would be great.

Yes it can hurt you. Most of the 1 a day type pills have iron in them. To much iron is toxic. Also, not all vitamins are water soluble. Water soluble are pretty safe. Your body uses what it needs and gets rid of the rest, but others are fat soluble and the body will hold on to them even when not needed. They then build up and become toxic to your system. If an over the counter pill says "One a Day" that's all your supposed to take. More is not always better. Some times more kills.

Vita mines are needed for the healthy body, but in very, very small amounts. the vitamines are there in your diet if it is a balanced,& if you are taking normal balnced diet, there is usually no need to take the pills. Do you know that excess amount of vitamines if not excreated out of body can harm your health. To see whether I am right or not ,take 2-3 capsules of vitamine B complex, After two or three hour of taking the cap. look to your urine. you will find yellowish urine which is the colour of vtamine B complex you are passing out as it is in excess in your body

1 a day means 1 A DAY, shouldn't make you ill, can be bad for you as body can only cope with certain levels of certain vitamins but that would be over time.if you feeling nauseous, the best thing, an works for me is sucking on an extra strong mint, the mint oil has a soothing effect on the stomach.

Probably not in the first 24/hrs most of the vitamins not needed are filter out in the kidneys and go down the toilet. There is no reason to take excessive amounts unless of course you want to spend money foolishly and destroy your kidneys.

You are risking injury to your liver and other vital organs from an overdose of vitamins that aren't water soluable.

They are called 1 a Day for a reason.
