there is no verse in the Bible that says that Jesus told people to do so, as a matter of fact he said things that prove he's not a God:
He said to his followers;
-{what if you should see the son of man (Jesus) ascend to where he was before ? } John 6:62
-{no one has ever seen God } John1:18
and in his prayers he said;
{you ,the only true God } John 17:3 (was he talking to himself ?)
-{ what I teach is not mine ,but belongs to Him that sent me } John 7:16
Paul said that Jesus entered heaven itself (Hebrew 9:24) so he could appear in the presence of God in our behalf (so how he could be God, and do so?)
if I wanted to prove that Jesus was Human I would write a book here ..........

Why do you care? Even if Jesus came down right now and looked you right in the eye, you would not believe. You are a non-believer. That makes you an infidel. Mohammad had no business trying to make his own religion. He was not a prophet. Jesus was a prophet, and referred to God as his father. Now...go study your Koran and stop torturing yourself over the details of other people's religion. Your goal is to refute Christianity, which makes you an anti-Christ. May God have mercy on your soul.

Jesus accepted worship.
Matthew 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Matthew 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Mark 5:6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
John 9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
Those who were only men did not accept worship, because it belongs to God.
Acts 14:13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
Even angels didn't accept the worship of men.
(Revelation 19:10) And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

I'll let the man himself tell you.
Luke 9:18 And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, "Who do the crowds say that I am?" 19 So they answered and said, "John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again." 20 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said, "The Christ of God." 21 And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, 22 saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day." 23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, F67 and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels. 27 "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God."

from the book of John (emphasis, mine)
chapter 10:
25Jesus replied, "I have already told you, and you don't believe me. The proof is what I do in the name of my Father. 26But you don't believe me because you are not part of my flock. 27My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, AND THEY FOLLOW ME. 28I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me, 29for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me. 30 THE FATHER AND I ARE ONE."
31Once again the Jewish leaders picked up stones to kill him. 32Jesus said, "At my Father's direction I have done many things to help the people. For which one of these good deeds are you killing me?"
33They replied, "Not for any good work, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, have made yourself God."
34Jesus replied, "It is written in your own law that God said to certain leaders of the people, `I say, you are gods!' 35And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So if those people, who received God's message, were called `gods,' 36why do you call it blasphemy when the Holy One who was sent into the world by the Father says, `I AM THE SON OF GOD'? 37Don't believe me unless I carry out my Father's work. 38But if I do his work, believe in what I have done, even if you don't believe me. Then you will realize that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father."

He said Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

In other words, no.
The idea that Jesus was divine wasn't codified until hundreds of years after Jesus died.
