When its self inflicted? My boyfriends mate spent a whole morning at work whingeing and moaning and puking up in the toilet and complaining about how ill he felt and it was all his fault for drinking too much the night before. He then went out the very NEXT night and did the same thing again!!
I don't get it.

Yeah I know women get hangovers but most of my girlfriends either try to avoid it or if they do get one they take reponsibility and put up with it. The men I know whine and moan and cry like babies when hungover! Especially this one who I have to work with! Argh!!!

Everyone who gets a hangover whines. The trick is not to get a hangover. Suggest sweetly to your boyfriend that he should drink just enough to fee good but not so much that he gets a hangover. Binge drinking on a work night is not a good sign and it looks like his actions bother you. Your boyfriend may have an alcohol problem - right now it's his problem, please try really hard not to let it become your problem too.

Hangovers are not gender specific..happens to a lot of folks..If you have a problem with your boyfriend's friend's hangovers then get him help. And yes, the best treatment is to have some hair-of-the-dog..that is why he is going back out..but then again...you apparently don't understand the real problem. Check out your local chapter of AA. If you care enough that is.

We're men - notice when we get a cold we have "Man Flu"? When women just get on with it? Same with hangovers, we moan or go for a hair of the dog. :)

Its not just men that do it cause i do exactly the same thing and i always swear that i am never going to drink again. We just forget when we are out to stop and them several shots of sambuca seemed like such a good idea at the time

Men need to prove how macho they are and see if they can out-do all around them, to be no1. That they can be violently ill in the morning never comes in to the equation until it actually happens. Also, men tend to be goldfish when it comes to drinking and hangovers

It's because unfortunately drinking is his idea of having fun, or possibly the only way he feels he can have fun..sad to say there are many people out there with this idea...don't get me wrong I have nothing against drinking, I love a glass of beer or wine BUT it is not necessary for me to have a good time with my friends and family
