I used to squash bugs without thinking about what I was really doing. Who am I to say that this said bug isnt on a path to higher spiritual awareness and by ending its life early by squishing it im cause'n its travels to a higher level of thinking to end early and sending its soul to heaven before it would have liked.

Now I understand that sometimes bug get squashed just like some times humans get squashed but that doesnt mean anyone should go out of there way to harm other life forms. I wish this respect for the living wasnt such a hard concept to grasp...

Hey you are so right! Every living thing has a soul. We are all living souls wandering around through different dimensions until we find a body we can bring to life. Babies are born because a soul has picked those parents for itself. We can't remember this though, because in 3-D life, we are too slow to figure it all out. But when we sleep, we discover more things than we would ever do in life. Why is it that we dream for a couple of minutes when it's been all nihgt long? Because we move at a faster speen in dreams. Soyeah, anyways, everything has a soul, and that soul picked the body in the first place.

As humans, we have a very anthropocentric view of everything. Humans must be the best at everything, most simply cannot fathome an animal being better than a human in anything.

Humans in general are always looking for that one thing that makes us unique, that makes us human. Be it a soul, language, intelligence, etc. We want to stand out and be unique, when the fact is, we are probably just like any other life form out there.

We have evolved to live in the condition we live in and have thus evolved characteristics that help us live. There is no way we are better than some birds in spacial memory or navigation. We do not need to be in order to life whereas they do.

Okay, this is starting to ramble. Short answer: Humans MUST have something unique to them and some say it is our soul.

Its merely a personal belief system. Many cultures and religions world wide value all life sources including water, sky and soil for chronicals of thousands of years all over the globe.

So with that knowledge begets responsiblity and that requires action, hence the reason, its easier "not" to believe in anything but oneself. its called being selfish.... just that simple. Its so much more rewarding to have a belief system and live according to it.

Great question!

The reason people say that is because people are the only ones who can talk about it.

In fact, people are capable of saying we have no souls. So, no one can say who is right.
