The goal of life is to revive our dormant relationship of love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
sa vai pumsam paro dharmo yato bhaktir adhoksaje
ahaituky apratihata yayatma suprasidati
(Srimad Bhagavatam 1.1.6)
"The supreme occupation (dharma) for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service unto the transcendent Lord. Such devotional service must be unmotivated and uninterrupted in order to completely satisfy the self."
By developing love of God one is gradually freed of the illusion of the bodily concept of life, where, conditioned by false ego, one considers the ephemeral and circumstantial material body to be the self. Real knowledge means to not only identify the correct identity of the self as completely spiritual, but to identify the Supreme being as the energetic source of everything.
bahunam janmanam ante jnanavan mam prapadyate
vasudeve sarvam iti sa mahatma sudurlabah (Bhagavad Gita 7.19)
"After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto me, knowing me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare."
Having acheived the platform of self realization and Krishna consciousness, one is then eligible for liberation from material bondage.
mam upetya punar janma dukhalayam asasvatam
napnuvanti mahatmanah samsiddhim param gatah (Bhagavad Gita 8.15)
"After attaining me, the great souls, who are yogis in devotion, never return to this temporary world, which is full of miseries, because they have attained the highest perfection."
The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, is described in the Vedas as follows
isvarah paramah krsnah sat-cid-ananda vigrahah
anadir adir govindah sarva karana karanam
(Sri Brahma Samhita text 1)
"Krishna, who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and he is the prime cause of all causes."

I thought about htis so much! I htink we were created by something, or someone, to discover if we can cooperate together to protect and save this planet. We are on earth, but somehting is watching our every movment and recording it down; it's like a scientifial experiment. Whoever created us wants to see if we will ever learn to care about other things than ourselves, and be less self-centered. That way, ew would finally discover what we are, and we would work together for a common goal: saving this planet.

Well I think everyone has a different purpose or goal in life. But generally I think we're here to learn as much as we canand use those experiences, both good and bad to evolve and love people as we love ourselves. You know the " golden rule" thing. Lizzytish

To get the most out of your existence, That is, to get rich as fast as you can , to own as many toys as you can, and to enjoy the pleasure of sex as much as you can...etc, etc. Becasue you only have one life to live, you need to achieve all this in any means possible without being caught and put in jail or get executed.
Unless you believe there is life after death, then you might want to do something more long term and meaningful. I am not too sure what they are though.
Oh, I just got it. I think the big words are: to love and to be of service to others.

My personal goal is to be happy, healthy and not have many regrets.
Our genetic goal is to reproduce - since that is what our genes were made to do and the reason we do everything in this world.

This is quite simple really. If you're into Christianity, then the Sermon on the Mount is our guide.
Love one another.
Treat others as we would be treated.
Teach others what we've learned from Scripture.
If these simple suggestions could be followed, there would be no need for the other Commandments.

the goal of life is to develope our soul as to b able to see God's face in life after death,as we have been seperated from god and we have to re unite with him,but in this physical form we can't.God has given us this life to pass the evolutionary stage, and death will only change this stage ,the sense (soul)onse created will never come to an end,so life Goals is only moulding our sense(soul) in this self sustain process to a form that it may fuse with God,

I percieve the goal of life is to be as close to reflecting the image of Jesus Christ as possible. Jesus wants us to follow in His footsteps and to take on the shining light of His Glory. The best way to do that would be to set your goals in life in obtaining that light. We are to walk, talk, witness, and share all the wonderful things of Jesus Christ. Our testimonies throw satan in a whirlwind. We use our testimonies to uplift the wonderful and amazing power of our Lord. Set your goals on what Jesus has for you and strive to get closer to obtaining it.
