The research team at the National Human Genome Research Institute and several universities compared the same stretch of DNA in a chimpanzee, baboon, cat, dog, cow, pig, rat, mouse, chicken, zebrafish and two species of pufferfish with human DNA.

None share all the DNa, though all living things have been found to share between 4% and 6% of their DNA code exactly. The organisms that share the most are the ones most closely related to us, such as chimpanzees and monkeys. However, the total number of chromosomes differs in each case. Humans have 46 chromosomes, and even though the DNA is radically different, that is actually the same number as a rose bush.

Chromosome numbers are coincidental, whereas DNA coding is much more specific.

No animals share the same DNA as humans...because that would make them human. However, some have extremely similar DNA (like 98%). Animals included in this list are pigs, rats, dogs, chimpanzees....Most mammals have strikingly similar DNAs.

Chickens and pig's have the closest DNA structure to humans, but all life on earth share the basic DNA strands.

All animals have DNA, they are the basic building blocks of life. No two living things carry identical DNA patterns tho, which is why DNA testing is so exacting. OOPS sometimes, identical twins do carry identical DNA, but that is rare.

That's depends on what you believe. People that believe in creation say nothing eles, that god made humans unique. But in evloulutionary terms are closets DNA relitive are primates.

hmm..the primate's dna isnt that much different i suppose...but i do know that dolphins and humans are the only species on earth to have sex for pleasure...if that helps at all?!?...
