Most hotels offer free wireless internet connection if you bring your own computer and have the proper wireless equipment in your computer. There are some places that do have computers set up in the lobby or special recreational rooms, but you pay for the amount of time you use. I've only really seen computer terminals at truck stops, versus a hotel in downtown Toronto.

Like hotels in most other countries, the better hotels in Canada have a computer connection (often wireless) in the room, but you bring your own computer. Or they have a business suite, which is equipped with standard office gear, including a computer, and you pay a fee to use it. Or they have both.

Some do, in the lobbies or in special recreation rooms, but not all.
Most have wireless internet connections though, so you can set up your laptop and use it for e-mail, internet etc.
Some have internet connection via the television cable with a keyboard that is connected to it in that way. Wireless internet connection is now making that obsolete though.

Well, alot of hotels have wireless internet available, so if you have a laptop that has wireless access, then you can go online while staying at the hotel.

we travel and stays at hotel most of the time, even in the small provinces of Canada..
there are hotels that have no computers even in the lobby, the only success to connect is to have your own PC with you and they have internet connection inside your rooms...but not all hotels...and I have never seen PC inside the room anywhere, even in the most expensive rooms we stayed..unless we take one of our own.
Less opportunity to use PC on the hotel lobby if it is crowded..you have to wait or not get connected easily..
Cable TV is also limited..I love to watch Japan channel..but even in Montreal unfortunately is not available..

Most now have connections and some even have a keyboard you can give a deposit for in the office and then connect to your TV. There is an hourly charge. How the world changes.
