My friends and I started going to the gym this summer. I've been weight lifting for 2 months with nothing but protein shakes. I look a lot better, and I got pretty good definition. My friends took creatine and got kinda bloated looking. idk any other way to say it. It's obviously because of all the water, but the fact is that their muscles are bigger than mine. They can lift significantly more weight when we all started out equal. I wouldn't do it but honestly I'm finding it impossible to get my shoulders as big as I want them. I just can't do anymore weight the way I'm going about this. My question is just "Is possible to take creatine monohydrate and get bigger but not lose definition?"

Im a powerlifter and take creatine, and i know waht your saying. When aanother lifter friend of mine (:my same height and weight 215 solid) started to take it and he bloated up, swelled pretty nicely. I never experianced being "blown" up from creatine and im strong, bench 350, squat 550 and im 59 with 38 wiast size, and im not "cut up" howevr im pretty toned out. And for your case im sure your going to be abel to stay cut up, as long as your routine remiands more geared towards a cutting routine. My friend who now works out with me is 135 pounds and cut up like crazy, hes been on creatine for about 4 months now and i got him swuating 315, so with the proper routine i can say with confidence that creatine will not allow you to look less cut up. if your diets good and your routine (like i said before) is geared gfor cutting, youll stay cutting.
What alot of people dont understand is what creatine does, its indirectly an amino acid, by creatine ATP in the muscle and allows your muscles to work harder, it basically gives you the boost you need, ive seen its great for any type of routine.
Do you take your creatine monohydrate with somthing high in suger? somtimes if your tryingto stay cut and are going to get hardcore abuot it your body needs a high suger level in order to absorb it, but to replace that using creatine ethyl ester doesnt need the insulin boost to absord the creatine just significantly more water.

1st stop comparing yourself to other lifters. youll just get hurt. 2nd creatine will actually help u stay lean as long as your diet is clean and u do your cardio. dont take any fancy stuff like cell-tech its a joke. that will make u fat and bloated. use prolab creatine-best quality and price ( i dont work for prolab ).take 2-3 grams b4 u lift ( 30 mins ) w/ 20 grams whey protein ( optimum nutrition ) and 40 grams carbs ( large banana, anything easy to digest ) then double that after u lift. stay consistent and learn more and u will get bigger. and keep it simple there are no magic tricks or secret pills that make u jacked-just dedication and committment.

I know alot of people who workout using creatine. I don't take it but as far as i understand it opens blood vessels in your body helping the muscles to work by feeding them more thus making your workout more effective. But alot of people don't use it cos it also helps your body store fat. This is what i believe to be true.
Also most people i know who use it also take weight gaining shakes which bulk them up. The creatine helps these to work and you do go plumper before you bulk out.

to the best of my knowledge, no it isnt possible, creatine adds mass and weight ( all be it through water retention ) to your body and needs to be cycled on and off. i think it's 11 weeks on then 4 weeks off and the gains you make when on should be enough to notice the difference when off.

it's not a steroid or illeagle or anything so i wouldn't worry about taking it if you want!

here's a link or two that should help you!
