Like was said before, play chess. Certain games that require thinking and logic can greatly improve your mind's power to get through tasks. Another great game to learn is Go, which is regarded as one of the most complex games on the planet. Scientists estimate that there are between 10^40 and 10^50 different ways to move and win while playing Go. As a comparison, there are an estimated 10^80 protons in our universe.

It originated in the Orient, and many people over there spend their entire lives devoted to the play and mastery of Go. If you're interested, look it up. It's actually very interesting.

Other than that, eliminate outside distractions. Turn off your cellphone, pager, and whatever else you've got around there. If it helps you, turn on music SOFTLY - for some people, it becomes distracting. Try different settings in which to complete your studies - inside, outside, with windows open or closed, and other different things.

Good luck, and I hope this helps!

by practicing. improve on the visual portion. take a snapshot in your mind after looking at or studying what you want to study, then recall that picture and work at it in your mind. pretend you dont have paper to write on so you need to remember what you see. This is whats going to begin your exercise for your brain. it takes a while. but keep after it and you will at least have more capabilities. I was into electronic diagrams for building projects. i didn't have enough money to buy the book in the bookstore, so i would look at the diagram and study it, then run out to the car and write down what i saw. if i wasn't clear about it, i would run back in and finish what i forgot. now (today)i can pull up diagrams out of my head and draw them out. You will have to draw them out as well as you remember what you see. it takes concentration to do this, that is why i am telling you. try it.

Try to eat more of balanced diet. If you fill your car up with the crappiest gasoline and think it'll run like new, you're sadly mistaken. The same applies to your body.
