Who would you choose to be your parents and siblings, if you had the choice?

I don't want people to feel they are betraying their families by answering this question, but it would be interesting for everyone - including your family members - don't you think?

I have spent years in therapy and the onething that made a big differents to me in my life, was when he asked me ,if I had a choice in life to pick the family I have right now would I repick them . I said know ! he then said that is your answer. you didn't pick them you were born into this family. but you can seround youself with people that make you feel like you belong and give you the needs .
he also said ,Their are just peopel you can feel how ever you whant with them. and with out guilt and treat them acordingly as friend foe
with the same kind of respect you would your adopted family ,that are your friends . When you esablish the aura about you, it will be amassing how you will come into yourself . and see who they are and realize that no one is perfact Find what you do like about them and keep that memery in you mind . If there is negativaty you just say nop sorry I don't need this nor whant this. if you have something going on in your life and you are upset with it and you are going to take it out on me . I will not except that !! and then say I will come back when you sort out your feelings . Now this will not happen over knight but in time you will have helped every one in you family as well as yourself and all your relashion ships will change and you wll develop respect and you will find that if any one family or otherewise will sit and tell you what they are upset about insted of snaping at the first person they come in contact with

I love the family I have and would hate to change that, but if I could choose who my parents would be, I would pick someone with a kind generous heart, smart, giving, and loaded. Bill Gates perhaps.

When given a choice, we then become dissatisfied with what we have so we look elsewhere to look for something better. It is human nature to never be completely satisfied with what we have so we would become disloyal to our parents of choice only to choose a seemingly better mum and dad..........in the end we would be screwed up.

that's a good question and one i should take seriously. buddhists think u choose your family in your previous lives. meanwhile back in this life you can opt out of your family. you're not obliged to join in if it's not doing it for you. lets face it. some family's are just horrible.

I would choose a sister because all I got were brothers. I always wondered what it would be like to have had a really nice sister.

no you can't choose your family, if I could I would. would be awesome if I could choose my own family, although you can choose who you want to be with and create your own family though.

The only person I would change is my Dad, I don't know to who but to someone who actually talks to me and relates to me.
