Wuy do some black people get mad when some other races says the N word when they call each other that?

Regardless,it aint right...I personally,amongst others i know HATE it!

BUT its also different...if u are a black man and u got a close friend or at least someone u know from another race callin u a ni99a like "whattup ni99a!?" ,i think the black man finds it ok..
If you are a black man walkin into a store and someone decides to make a comment like "look @ that ni99a!",then theres a problem...IT DONT EVEN MATTER WHAT RACE THE OTHER PERSON IS...there still is a problem...

Oh and by the way,theres a big a$$ difference between "ni99a" and "*****"...***** is the worst thing u can ever call anyone with African roots...Use that word and u'll definately get ur butt whipped,regardless of ur race...

There are some validity in most of the answer's seen on this question. But, the reason why SOME black people get mad when other races use the N word, and others do not can best be explained as "generational."

The generation of the "millennium" has not gone through the turbulent "civil rights" of the 1960's," when it was a struggle to eat at the same reasturants or sit at the same events, and therefore don't see or can't see the problem of using such a word. Of course, these are mostly the same people that don't see a problem with using degrading language to describe "women" in most rap video's as well.

But, if you are a sensitive human being and aware of cultural difference why would you use such a historically degrading term to describe another human being? Unless you wanted to see just how far you could push it to the limits of confrontation, or see just how far you can go. I truly believe that everyone within the last century knows the history of the word and knows it is ethnically and socially unacceptable to use the word. They just choose to do so.

Regardless of who says it, it's wrong! I'm African American, and I don't use that word....and it has nothing to do with sensitivity. It's an issue of respect. It is totally disrespectful to all African Americans and their ancestors when people, of ANY race, use that word. Leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King and Harriett Tubman didn't sacrifice their lives so that they could be disrespected and unappreciated. We've come too far for that, people.

It is more offensive if a person of a different race says it because that word has pain behind it that NO other race will EVER know of. African Americans shouldn't say it because when they use it, they are teaching other people that it's okay to say it, but it's not.

You know I can go on forever about race but I am not because the only black people that call each other that are the ignorant ones that I really dont care to associate with. The friends that I do have that happen to be black have never said that to each other I believe its because they are educated and they see that it is ignorant.

I have no idea and have ask this questions millions of times. I never use the word. Not around friends, family or etc. My parents would kill me if I even thought about using the word.
