how to palpatate to feel the puppies?

I would like to be able to feel the puppy,s that is if she is pregnant, we are not 100% sure. I was told if its not done right you can hurt the puppys

You CAN cause the embryos to become dislodged from the uterus. Besides, it is hard to feel them anyway and is best left to a vet and even they are not right when palpating.
Have an ultrasound or wait. That is the best bet.
Depending on the breed and number of puppies, palpation may be impossiable.
