Absolutely not, our country is well run when it s badly run. This si a fundamental aspect of federal representative democracy - governments are kept from being too efficient to prevent them from becomeing totalitarian. The military is a totalitarian body (I'm speaking as a soldier, we're not a democracy in the army) and that's why we don't run, nor want to run, this country.

No. Our Founding Fathers were very wise in establishing a balance of power, and relegating the military to be subservient to the civilian leadership.
That being said, only those Presidents who have actually served their nation in the Armed Forces really understand how to properly use them.
When we send the military to do anything other than what it was trained for, we cheapen their service. Use the right tool for the right job.

You may have little experience or knowledge about countries who are RUN/GOVERNED by military.
I suggest research,,even talk to people who have lived under military regimes. Many of them are OUT because they chose to be FREE.
Count the number of Dictatorships throughout the world, and judge the status of the country for one thing... Often 3rd world,,,already not a good situation. Then add to the mix a self absorbed, power hungry, possibly psychotic individual with a GOD complex, who rules by instilling fear, and then define "RUN BETTER"
It may seem to you that in the USA our voices aren't heard, even with the right to vote, we are often dissatisfied and express that, as you have here, and I respect that right, for you.
In a Dictatorship/Military driven society you wouldn't even be allowed to question openly, or cry out dissent, and certainly you'd have no real chance to actually choose who governs you and/or for how long.
