There are a couple of ways.
One is to just go out and buy a bunch of lipton tea packets, like in a box.
Then go home and put water into a pan. You should put enough water in to cover how many tea bags you put in, about a cup to a cup and a half per bag depending on how strong you like your tea.
Then boil the water (do not put in the tea bags yet).
Then, take the pan off of the burner and allow the bubbling to cut down a little.
Then put in the tea bags according to how much water you put in there.
Let it seep for about 5-10 minutes and then take all of the tea bags out and throw them away.
Add sugar to taste. If your making a regular quart sized pots worth, then probably at least a full cup of sugar.
Once you have the sugar to taste, pour the tea out and into your pitcher with a little ice. Put it in the fridge until cool and your done.
The other way is to purchase lipton iced tea stuff and make it according to their instructions. This is easier but, in my opinion, not quite as good as brewed tea that is then chilled.
Love and good iced tea as always,
Sebastian

If your parents have a tea kettle. Fill and bring the water to a boil, put 5 tea bags in after removing from the heat. Let stand to brew for approximately 15 minutes. Then if you want it sweetened add a cup of sugar. If not leave the sugar out. Get a Pitcher, fill with ice and pour tea over the ice. Grab a glass, pour in glass and sit on the porch and enjoy. Have a great day...

Buy the cold brew kind - it's easier.
Just drop a bag in a pitcher and add cool water. Serve with sugar, sweet & low, or lemon.
If you don't have cold brew, pour boiling water over the tea bag(s) in a pitcher. Use 2 large tea bags or 4 small. The boiling water should come about 1/3 up the pitcher. Let it set for 10-15 minutes (this is called steeping). Add 1 cup sugar if desired. Then fill pitcher the rest of the way with cold water and ice.
Stir and serve.

In a pan put about 4 cups water. When it comes to a boil drop in 6 tea bags. Turn burner off , let sit for about 20 min. Pour into 2 quart pitcher, add water to fill pitcher. For sweet tea add 1 cup sugar. Never let the water boil while tea bags are in it. They need to steep. Been making it this way for 25 years and it never fails. Makes great iced tea. Good Luck!!

Follow the directions on the box of tea bags. If you want super sweet southern iced tea. Just add 3/4 to one cup of sugar to the tea right after it is brewed so that the sugar will dissolve.

i know how to make sun tea. its the same except for that you have to put it in the sun to begin with it tastes the same.
1. go to the store they have little tea packets that you set in the water while it sets in the sun.
2. drop the pouch over the side of the container and let it set in the sun for about 2 hours i think, depends how strong you want it.
3. if you don't mind it warm then just take out the tea bag and serve or if it is cold you desire then set it in the fridge.
Bingo sun tea that is much better then ice tea but tastes the same

You buy a box of tea, I used 4 tea bags to make a pitch of tea. You need 4 tea bags and 2 cups of sugar. Don't forget the ice. Have fun.

In the sun. Use a clear glass jar. Fill with cold water, add 4 to 6 teabags and set in sun until desired color. The longer it sets there the stronger it will be. Chill and serve over ice. Sweeten as desired. You can use flavored tea bags for extra fun

Take a pot and fill it about little bit more than 1/2 with water.
Get your water boiling hot.
Then add about six teabags in there.
Turn heat off then let it brisk for about 5 to 6 minutes.
Take out the teabags and let it cool for about 15 minutes
If you want you can add a lemon twist and sugar if needed.
Get a class with ice in it and voila you have your iced tea.
Enjoy your iced tea.
