This is basically why a casual athiest will tell you why he doesnt believe because "God didnt show up when I wanted him to." The athiest assumes God has never intervened in human affairs at any moment so thus he is imaginary. Just because God doesnt come over your house and play checkers with you does not mean hes not real. Human nature is funny, what we dont know we dont control what we dont control we fear what we fear we hate and what we hate we destroy(at least attempt to). So we have destroyed God in our minds because we just dont like being pushed around. No ahiest will admit this, it will destoy the buzz they get of being the almighty humanitarian. Its makes perfect sense if you are afraid something to avoid it or try to destroy it.

I agree that people and society in general are trying to suffocate the Word of God. It is funny how some people believe in conflicting reports of ghost hauntings that they haven't seen, yet disbelieve in God. The open minded humanists close themselves off to believing in God. They choose to believe what interests them, not necessarily what is true. The evidence of God is all around us, through the birth of animals and human beings, the moon, the stars, the sun, etc. God has revealed Himself to us. God gives us a sense of creation through the birth of our children, maybe also to let us understand more why we are given commandments to follow. We give rules to our children because we care about them and their well-being. It is not always what they want, but what is best for them. Our eternal Father wants what is best for us. It may not be want we want, but it is what we need. Like a child that rebels against their parents, so do people rebel against God.

let me tell u there is no such thing as god. god is over rated. the thing is that god can be many forms of religion and not just one. u dont have to say u believe in god but if u have a pure heart and do the right thing in the possible sinerios. i mean i dont think god would like if u hate other religions cuz he made people with free will so if people believe in what they belive and stick to it they would be granted to enter the so called heavens, but then again what if there is no heaven and no hell where will the spirits go huh? well... and if there is then i do we know where poeople end up in? i mean even if u belive in god if u tell him to appera infront of u it will not appear infront of u. so he might be an imagination or just a fairy tale who knows... there where kings who would probably add what he wants in a bible so there might some truth in the bible but there are always interpertation or that the humans have to read between the lines of the so called bible...people are always going to be afraid of what they cant understand.
