Yes you can train a cat because I have a cat and my sister trained my cat to like sit and lie down and think I sort of trained my cat to roll over. Well any ways back to your cat thing yes you can train a cat when your cat is bad then lightly tap his nose and say no and when your cat listens to you then give him a treat and oh yeah if your cats doesn't listen to you then spray him like with a spray bottle or something if you don't have one then by it somewere there ussally pretty cheap to me I think but whatever about that well I never really sprayed or cat with a spray bottle but we did tap him on the nose do so I don't know what would happen if you spray your cat with a spray bottle so don't get mad at me please if it doesn't work and something bad happens because most people say to do that on yahoo answers.

Yes, but it takes a lot of patience and a lot of cat treats. I've never trained a cat, but there are cats in commercials, movies, and TV shows all the time, and they don't just happen to do exactly what the director wants them to do.

Yes. Different cats like doing different things. I trained one of my cats to fetch. He used to bring his toys to me to play, and when I was working nights, I would throw them across the room, because I was trying to sleep. He'd go get it and bring it back, and a new game was made! He learned fetch that way.

If you need to train a cat not to do something - like to stay off tables and counters - keep a squirt bottle of water handy. Say "no" right before you squirt, and eventually you can just say "no" and they'll get it.

BTW - didn't you know? Dogs have owners, but cats have staff.

I think so. I'm training my cats to eat out of certain food bowls every day. So far it's working. I do this by watching them as they eat and if they move to a different food bowl that is not theirs, I move them back to theirs. And during the full day, if they are eating out of somebody else's food bowl then I move them to theirs and they eat out of it instead.
