It will eventually. Think about 20 years down the road. If you are still together, you'd be 45, they'd be 66. If it is just to get the "older woman/man" thing out of the way then go for it. But if it is for long term, think about the difference of age applying to the future.

Since the 25 year old lacks the experience that the 46 year old has, resentments can form and patience can be worn thin. Also, expectations of the 25 year old would be unrealistic becuase their brain is not as developed. The 25 year old would cheat themself by limiting themself exclusive to the 46 year old, and resent them for feeling trapped. They would eventually cheat to see what else is out there. Time, experience, mentality, and priorities are what separates this pair. It will not likely work. Does the 46 year old feel inadequate around other 46 year olds? Do other equally experienced people intimidate them? Do they need to feel superior or find someone with little experience? Turn the tables....Ask yourself, would you appreciate a 46 year old dating your 25 year old child?

No age doesn't matter as long as everyone's over 18,what is the big deal? One of the happiest couples I know is where the man is 66 and his girlfriend is 43,been together 3 years...rocky because his grown son is upset,but...seriously age is only a number. As long as everyone's comfortable and happy it isn't anyone elses business.

Not at all, 15 years between me and hubby, been together for 7 years, 16 yrs between mother-in-law and her hubby, been married now for 26 years, my dad's parents 14 yr age gap (sadly both passed away but were happily married), my parents 5 yr age gap, now been married for 31 years, brother-in-law currently dating a young lady 29 years younger. As long as you both know what you want out of life, go for it.

I know a 22 year old married to a 45 year old. The older person's kids weren't initally thrilled (since the guy is about as old as her kids), but they've been happily married for several years now.

Not at all. I met my husband when he was 21 and I was 41. We married a year later and last month celebrated our 13th Wedding anniversary. I know he is happy and so am I. If you are referring to yourself go with your heart
don't take notice of small minded people. Be happy
