Please don't waste your money on a diet program. They do not work. Just eat a regular low fat, high in vegetables and fruit diet, drink a lot of water and exercise. That is the best way for you to stay healthy. I've known people that have tried a diet program where they buy the particular food for that program. As soon as they stop eating that food (expensive too) their weight balloons!

I would recommend the body-for-life program. It has the very basic (and effective) principle of 6 small, clean meals a day. Of course they "recommend" you use meal replacement shakes, but it is completely up to you. They have a list on the web site of authorized foods, which are everyday things you buy at the market (eggs, chicken. tuna, bread, whole grains, fruits, veggies). www.bodyforlife.com I follow this plan and have maintained a healthy weight and bodyfat (5'5", 125-130 lbs) and i have had four children.
When times were tough financially for us, we still did this plan, instead of chicken and salmon, we had to have tuna and egg whites, etc. But the other things such as oatmeal, brown rice, wheat bread, etc you can buy extremely cheap. If you have the extra $$$ and want to splurge, you can buy a box of meal replacement shakes, but i personally would rather eat the whole foods.
Any diet that has you eat their foods, I would run from because you will pay a fortune for a tiny entree just because it has the name of the program on it.

I disagree with papricka w for not wasting money on diet program. It helps you if you try to lose some weight and look better. I used to think like her, and guess what, I gained quite alot of pounds. I reccomend you to try the Abs Diet. It works like a charm. The exercise is provided and foods you need are listed. Basically, the food you need is very cheap and satisfying. Dont believe me? The only answer for yourself is to try it. Read the book.
