There is no tangible proof that there exists a life after death
There is no tangible proof that nothing happens when we die.

Both groups accept it on faith.

The idea of a conscious supreme being doesn't seem rational cause if it really existed, it would tangibly expose itself. But you still can't be sure it doesn't exist. Also, maybe there is no conscious supreme being but there is an after life. How can you be sure that there is nothing after life. There are mysteries in life like eternity or human consciousness which is not proven to be composed of only matter. How can you be sure? Why do you the atheists and theists believe in claims which can't be proven to be true?

Okay, I'll admit it: I could be wrong. There's a chance that god exists. But it's such a small chance that I'm pretty confident that I can proceed on the premise that god does not exist. That's not a matter of faith, it's a conclusion drawn from evidence -- or more precisely, the lack of any evidence supporting god's existence.

As for what (if anything) becomes of us after death, again, I could be wrong. But I grew up on a farm, where I learned at an early age that everything living dies and everything dead rots. Human consciousness is a product of the human brain, which dies like everything else, therefore I see no reason to believe that some part of me will survive the death of my body. Again, no faith is required to understand this, just a few minutes of thought.

Life is marvellous, yes, but not really mysterious.

As an Atheist I believe that there isn't a god like the god people worship to get eternal life.

I only assume there is nothing after death because no one has proven there is. Once again it is impossible to prove non- existence, you can't even produce a formula to do that. Or do you have a way to prove nonexistence of anything?

On the other hand, you can easily produce a formula to prove if god or an afterlife exists. what is lacking there is proof.

Atheists don't accept it on faith. Atheists come to that conclusion through reason. The idea of a life after death goes against all logic.

And anyway, even if there were a life after death, the absurd idea is that you'll get to live it in heaven ONLY if you're obsequious enough to spend your life on earth reminding God how great he is, or even if you're good in this life at all. That's what makes no sense at all. IF I'm entirely wrong and there is a life after death, I have no reason to believe I won't spend it well, just because I've never set foot in a church.

there is certainly no afterlife like anything we experience here on this earth since our body dies . The question is really does the leftover energies that encompass our bodies retain any of the consciousness that we experience today .I happen to think that when we die all dissipates so therefore there is no afterlife . Our rational thought is a byproduct of our enhanced brain capacity .Another byproduct is ou imagination......

I'm so sure as I have all the evidence on my side. And if there is no evidence I don't believe in it as everything that is real has evidence and everything that isn't doesn't and god doesn't.

What bothers me,, is why do the atheists, spend all their time trying to prove that there is no god, that he doesn't exist,,,, why waste your time, if you don't believe.......that is your choice,,, but for me and mine, we believe, in god, and the here after. Just stop wasting your time, you will never prove that god doesn't exit.
