I have had some of the best (and worst) times of my life on trains. Traveling by rail is one of the most unique forms of travel. It enables one to see this huge country we live in at eye level, without the distractions associated with being a driver of a vehicle.
In addition, often times the tracks are in an area inaccessible to vehicular traffic, and unless winding along the way in a comfy coach, you're not going to be able to see, or appreciate it..
Service on AMTRAK has lots of room for improvement, but all should try it at least once, with the goal of sight seeing, as opposed to some other timely fashion of transportation.
Climb aboard and see the sights.

I already had a lot of fun on the daily train trip to work. Sometimes with the colleges, sometimes with other passengers, and sometimes with the conductor...

i do have tones because i make my own entertainment and i love traveling on trains
