Look beyond physical appearance and look for those that have similar interests. Appreciate and admire their good qualities and give them attention. Enjoy their company, their attention, and their consideration. Show empathy and see things from their point of view. Appreciate them for who they are.
People watching in bookstores shows you what interests them so you can break the ice by getting them to talk about their take on something....get them talking and sharing their personality, and enjoy it! Showing interest in other peoples' interests makes you popular. Your personality will come out and they will either be attracted to it or not. Accept whatever they feel, and never try to make them like you. You can't. They will or they won't.
Have fun, and remember all the good stuff about you that you have to share with someone.

maybe u should try being friends with some girls u know trying to get to know them and see how things go. sometimes it turns into something more and u have the possiblty to have more info on them before u get with them.
