You need to isolate the ingredient in it that made him react. There can be so many. Do yourself a favour and look at the expiry date - the product may have expired, which may have caused the reaction (speaking from experience there).

Other than that, if you don't know the ingredient he reacted to, then just keep trying different brands until you find a good one. I like Neutrogena and Ombrelle. The Clarins brands are phenomenal, but very expensive. I find the cheaper brands (like No Ad and Banana Boat) are brutal on skin.

And remember, slip on a tshirt and a hat, and keep him out of the sun between 1130 and 3 each day (if possible!)

If she has a reaction to the main ingredient of the sunscreen (the titanium or zincs), then you might need to just layer on more clothes.

The key to clothing being protective however is the fact that laundry DETERGENTS have an ultraviolet reflecting dye in them that makes them "look brighter" after a wash. This means that the more times clothing has been washed with "bright colorsafe" detergents, the better it will help protect her. Hope it's not a last resort you will have to use though.

Waterbabies is the best sunscreen you can get that is less likely to cause a reaction.

What kind of sunscreen??
usually Water babies is formulated for babies/infants for sensitive skin.. I'm not sure if it is hypoallergenic!!

try aveeno which is new this year or neutrogena. my whole family has sensitive skin and these two work the best for us.
