you can eat right with the proper diet and don't drink any alcohol
sometimes it does take a long time for hep c to show up but learn to do a few things and learn how to keep healthy can slow down the disease.
My husband has hep c and have now for 30 years so it depends .

Depending on the strain of HCV and the lifestyle of an infected person, they, if eating a diet right, no alcohol, no iron, cutting back on all sugars (no fake either),
They can live just as long as if they didn't have it.
I can tell you this though...the quality of life deminishes as the virus continues it's damage.
I was 8 when I got HCV, by 13 my bones hurt, depressed.
Teen years it worsened. By 25 I slept 18 hours a day. By 34 the only thing that kept me going were my children, and i missed alot due to sleeping.
There are many bi-directional diseases when you have HCV too, so there are all sorts of symptoms that can range from mild to severe.
This answer would depend on more information as well since many once they find out they have it already have a considerable amount of damage done to the liver as well.
I wish I could tell you more.
There are treatments out there that will give you a sustained viral response. Course of treatment depends on genotype.
SVR means that the virus was killed and unable to reproduce.
A blood lab indicating <10 for over a year to 2 year period post chemotherapy means you are cured.
