U could go out with someone who is absolutely beautiful but is also really dull so personality plays a big part! its hard to find someone who is perfect in both ways! but the're out there! somewhere!!!

Let me answer your question in a subjective way. Our ancestors who were mainly plain dwellers had to devise a strategy to ensure that the next generation survived.
The average age span for a female was 26 yrs. She became fertile at 9 or 10 yrs this only lasted until about 18 yrs when the menopause hit home. In addition to this the infant mortaility rate was approx. 90 % so the female if she was lucky was more or less preganant continuosly. Now because of this she had to develop a system of picking the healthest males to inpregnate her
this is how we today are always attracted to a persons looks first becuase we are pre programmed to know that if you look good you are therefore more healthy and you will produce healthier babies therefore ensuring the survival of the group for the next generation. Its as simple as that personality never enters the equation.

Definitely, personality is more important. Personality is more holistic, which includes looks, the way to behave, your voice, your confidence. Personality is a package which appeals to people.
On the other hand, just looks might give one a good first impression but sooner or later the dumbness or smartness is revealed automatically

I think personality is most important by far although 2 be in a relationship with some1 there needs 2 be a curtain degree of physical attraction there.

well i go for personality as i found that you can get a really good lucking guy and he can have the worst personality everyone.
and treat you bad. with a guy that dont have good lucks he could have the heart of gold and a brilliant personality. but then i was all ways taught dont every judge a book by its cover. Beauty is only skin thick and its whats inside that matters

i think if your in a chat room. your personality matters more. If your out on the street your looks matter. When I say looks I just mean that you cut your hair, iron your clothes and have a positive presence about yourself. If you look confident and look clean than in addition to having a wonderful personality,....that will beat paris hilton anyday.

i think they are both really important... a nice person with loads of personality who doesn't take care of the their appearance is a turn off... a great looking person who is shallow is a turn off... so good lashings of both looks and personality makes for a great person!

Personality for sure. Looks might draw you to a person, but their personality is what keeps you around
