I AM that I AM
We are all one. I AM the I AM that is "you" and "you" are the I AM (Greatness, God, perfection, beauty, etc.) that you are looking at ("me").
We share the same origin and destination, that in such a place we are distinct but one in purpose, and that we are living under an illusion of ego, time, death, disease, limits, etc. for a short while that we may learn what I AM means.

Hello Jai - I liked Mott's "angels with one wing". The quotation see means we are all one, with the same needs, etc., and meant to help each other. The quote is actually from a Peter Layton song, written in 1993:
THERE'S ONLY ONE OF US HERE
Sometimes I forget to remember,
I get so busy and lost
in the day.
I forget what I'm really
here for
and think someone else
is in my way.
But my needs are your needs,
your needs are mine.
Truth is beyond what matters in time.
CHORUS
There's only one of us here.
Only one in a billion faces.
We are the Son of Love,
not fear.
There's only one of us here.
On the outside
we all look so different.
On the inside,
we're all the same.
There's a light
shining in everyone,
perfect and pure,
love is its name.
We're like a puzzle broken apart,
to scatter the pieces won't change
what we are.
CHORUS
Some say they're special.
Some feel they're different.
Some think they're better
than anyone else.
But all of the people we see in the world
are just other parts of our Higher Self.
And all of the sorrow,
and all of the anger
and all of the hate
we feel when we fight
are fearful expressions
of frightened children
who think they are bodies
instead of the light.

To me it is a quote often used. I've said it to mean that when I'm with someone and they don't help, its the same or worse than being alone. Something like carrying "dead weight" or the way that some one can help is to get the heck away...that would be helpful.
“The more we disagree, the more chance there is that at least one of us is right.”
“We are, each of us angels with only one wing; and we can only fly by embracing one another.”
“Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.”

I can only wrap my mind around the simple explanation: I am in a room saying that to myself. It's lame, but now that I am reading it again it is confusing me. It says US as if one has a split personality or something rather than talking about humans or people in general.
