Toxemia, usually leaves, the body, as soon as you have your baby........But, if you are a "Big" salt, consumer, there's your reason for "Swelling-up" right there...For the simple reason, I have had family members who have passed around, the book "Fit for Life" and in this particular book, it talks about how bad too much salt-consumption, is for the body.....What salt will do when we eat too much, of it, is it's known to seperate, to all other parts of the body,in order to get it away , from our vital-organs, in which, can be "Deadly" is why the body will make it go to other areas, for various reasons......In which, being in other areas, you will swell-up, from the salt.......And the more water, you drink , after alot of salt, consumptions, your body, will swell even more........Because, its like the salt feeds on the water.......I personally quit salt, many years, ago, except for on certain foods I have to pour salt, on.....One, reason I quit, was because,my ex-Beau's father's doctor, told him , "No salty foods" after, his heart attack........And the other reason, was I figured alot of foods already have salt in them, and if you read the backs, of can vegeez, etc......You'll see, sodium, percentage.........And, it makes one think , here you are, already getting plenty of salt, from other things, then we go ahead and add more salt, to what's already salty enough, which ends up being more salt, than our bodies, really even need ,, I had Toxemia, with my last two kids, and it went away, as soon as I had them, but, I nursed, and ate good healthy foods, so some of which had alot of salt in it.......And so my weight would go up & down, because of the salt, and nursing makes you lose weight too........If your not nursing .......I highly recommend that you watch, your salt intake, and even if you are nursing, too much salty foods, cant be good for the baby, either, you know........Well, I hope I was , of some help for you , anyway.........Good-Luck, to you, with this!!!
