It should have a number cast in it or stamped on it if it is a genuine ford part.
The part numbers will tell you the year of manufacture. A number beginning with C is 1960's, D is 1970's
The next number will tell the year, C4 for example is a part made in 1964. (but could have also been used on later model years)
It could have been for any of the ford family of performance cars, (I don't know how to tell even with a part number) if it is a shaker, complete, and new old stock, you have something fairly valueable.

Even Rancherios and Torinios had the Cobra Jet, air filter top & shacker hood was optional and a original part should command a good price. Talk to Mustang Ford Club, Classic Ford club. Good luck selling some one will snach that right up

If its a genuine hood scoop, the number should be stamped on it somewhere.
