FIRST, if someone in your home has been poisoned, seek emergancy treatment.
If ipecac is the prescribed treatment, you drink the small bottle's worth of syrup. Follow it with a full glass of water.
It will make you vomit...probably more than once!

You should only use ipecac to induce vomiting in case of poisoning, and only after you've called the Poison Control Center and they recommend it. Doctors no longer even recommend that a bottle be kept in the house, as there are other safer treatments. Please tell me you're not using it to lose weight! That's very unhealthy!
