i best place to get a bloodhound is thru a bloodhound rescue group. almost every state has one. go on the web or ask your humane society. please make sure it is a bloodhound your friend wants. bloodhounds are NOT for every one. they are very large and hard to handle.can never be off leash. they have a mind of there own and for the most part only do what they want when they want.they are very high engery dogs and LOTS of long walks. by the way they can be very mean and the breed it self is very food aggresive. they well go after any one or thing that comes close to ther food.now with all that said they are also great pets. i adore mine . most of the time hes a gentle giant.

go to petfinders.com....this is a site for rescue groups....just put in your Zip code, and be AMAZED at how many choices you have !!....i adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is great !!....check it out....try it, and see how many blood hounds there are !!....do a good deed....adopt a dog....good luck in your search, for your friend !!!!
