i see my special person every three months because of his work.we decided that the time we share will be for us and try to make it quality time.we write ,send cards ,msn and text ,sometimes this does not feel it is enough and would love to spend more time together and sometimes argue when we meet, but i know that i would rather have the life i have now with a man who really wants to be with me and makes me feel special then the life i had before with someone i was with everyday, only you know how you feel inside,i would give it a go,I'm glad i did!!!

Kris,
I believe that this is a 50/50 question. I have had long distance relationships that worked and did not work. It all depends on a few factors such as how long have you known him, how long you talk to each other, how well do you really know this guy. I have met a few people over long distance and they turn out to be people I do not want anything to do with. How long did you know this guy on your vacation? Do you think he was playing Mr. Suave just to impress you. In my experiences with a long distance relationships, I would say not get into him. I am just telling you this from personal experiences. It is up to you, I am not going to make that decision for you.

Absolutely, if BOTH parties are willing to put forth the effort. You have to be committed and honest to each other. Talk about all of your issues as soon as they come up. Make time for communication.
Communication is KEY for long-distance relationships. That, and not cheating on each other.

i think is better when you already know each other and then he goes somewhere...but if you two met in this situation you should stay focus in getting to know each other cause meeting people during vacations is not real life...i mean you are in a beach drinking tequila and with tons of dollars to spend in fun...it´s totally oppposite of dealing with everyday life and work and stuff...so try to do that

well let me see..my girlfriend lived in the Philippines I lived in the USA Pennsylvania to be exact, for the last 5 months I have lived in the Philippines with her and having a heck of a good time, either you or he has to move, otherwise keep your panties on tight under your chastity belt (let mama hold the key) and wear your bullet proof bra with the padlock.

Unless one or both are planning to live a lot closer to each other I would consider it friendship.
