I know dogs need exercise everyday and that's what I've been doing. But I had stayed out for a couple days and my friend and I walked our dogs all day coming and going... Well, I got sunburned and if I go outside anymore, it'll just get worse. So, how am I supposed to walk my dog when I can't go back outside? It's scorching hot over here (Louisiana) and I dunno what to do. It's REALLY hard to resist going to walk my dog b/c it's so much fun, but... eh???

And I can't get anyone to walk him for me. There are no dog walkers around here and my friend's mom won't let her go walk by herself...

Dude, I have no sunscreen. And my mum's at work, so she can't drive me to get any. And my bro most likely won't feel like driving me anywhere. -_-

Heheh, not over here... The sun is out aaallll day. It might go behind the clouds for a bit but only for a couple minutes... or seconds... And when the sun is going down, my friend's mom won't let her go walking that late. Guess I'll just have to go by myself... -_-

Well, excuse me, Ms. Thang (Cyn)... But I take very well care of my dog. I walk him for hours and let him get as much exercise as he needs. He's a husky, you retard! He needs a lot of exercise. I'm not so stupid to walk him for several hours STRAIGHT, you idiot. I take a 5 minute break every 15-30 minutes and let him get some water. He even has his own pool that I let him relax in. You have no right to judge people on what they do, how they do things, or when they do things when you don't even know the whole story, you dumbass. I just felt I'd save everyone from having to read a 2 page long story. But you'd complain if I did that too, huh? Complain if I gave more details. It's people like you who need a reality check and need to shut your mouth!

Walk before 10 am and after 6 pm...You deleted the other question, while i was ansering it... Try calling your vet to see if he might offer a free test for heartworms..you never know..he just might...Just tell him the story, and see if he has suggestions..then maybe he will offer to help...It sure wouldn't hurt to ask....Meanwhile, just do what you can to make the Lab's life better...She sounds so very deserving!.
I wish you the very best..and hope you find the answer..

Wait until later in the day when the sun is down and if you aren't allowed to go far after dark even just walking them around the house will help. Your dog needs a lot of water when it is so hot and doesn't need to walk when it is really hot. He will enjoy it more early or later in the day. Good luck.

On hot days even without being sunburned i'll wait until the sun goes down, or atleast loses strength, about 7-7:30pm to walk my dog.

Is this question for real?...... How stupid are you anyway. The whole idea to having a pet is to take care of it. And far as you getting sunburnt, without sunscreen.. and staying out in the heat with your dog!... you need to give the dog to someone who can love it better, your not grown up to take care of a living thing.

The sun is not out 24/7. There's plenty of "sun down" time to walk your dog.

Walk in the evenings. Not only will you not have the risk of sunburn, it will be easier on the dog because of the temperatures (both on his body and from not having to walk on concrete or asphalt that is as hot!).

They don't necessarily need to be exercised everyday, just make sure you play with him inside.
