yea you can..my husband did it with his blazer on a stock radio.

(sonoma, jimmy,s10,blazer are all the same stereo system)

us a hi/lo adapter tie it into your speaker lines then to your amp and don't cross the wires.. do one side at a time . the adapter is about $20 bucks
