They are afraid to take responsibility for themselves and their actions?

Do they try to sabotage Science and progress because they know they are bad people and they need their god to keep them from doing bad things?

Are they in need of a father/mother figure so badly that they are willing jeopardise the future for everyone?

For clairification i am speaking of extremists of all religions, not your casual 'church' goer... although i am of the opinion that by being a moderate of a religion you are vicariously justifying the extremists by supporting their basic beliefs.

I'm assuming that you're talking about about believers in Christ. I assure you that there were several hundred people in my church this morning that are not afraid to take responsibility for themselves or their actions. How exactly would we jeopardize every ones future??

I have to say that you're statement/question needs to be more specific. I think you might have seen something or experienced something to make such statements. Would you care to elaborate?
