Get your own life and leave Mel Gibson alone. As for the Passion, this is the truest account I have ever witnessed. What do you want, a watered down version, so you won't feel so guilty?

Lol, I wouldn't consider it to be a "sadomasochist snuff" film but it was pretty bad, definitely one of the most violent ones I have ever seen.

"Should people be put in jail and their kids put in protective services for allowing their children to see it?"

Yes, no child should be watching that movie.

The funny thing is the Romans strung people up like this on a daily basis. His execution was nothing special. Mel made it appear like no one else could deal with this besides Jesus and followers just gulp that crap right down.

I wonder how many innocent people were tortured and executed on a cross by the Romans?

How many innocent people have been tortured and executed by all governments in history?

None of them get to go back to their own dimension and receive immortality either.

how tough a gig was that really????

The Passion of the Christ is the only snuff film I've ever seen.

And yes, it sucked.

So ...

(a) No, I have not seen worse.

(b) Yes, people should be jailed and/or fined for subjecting their children to such violent, disgusting garbage.

1. Didn't see it because I don't believe in organized religion.
2. (to those above me) Movies are for entertainment. Watching someone get beat for 3 hours is not entertaining
3. (to those above me) It is not what really happened. The movie was based on stories from the bible, not facts. There is no way to tell if what is written in the bible really happened or not.

It's very hard to watch the act of Love that Jesus did for you and for me, isnt it , did you ever read in the Bible, Isaiah chapter 52:14..." Many were amazed when they saw him*--beaten and bloodied, so disfigured one would scarcely know he was a person".

No, just the worst movie ever. I get that Jesus went through some **** "for us", but do people who hold him as their savior really want to watch him get brutally beaten for 13 minutes straight? Seems like more bullsh*t guilt to me. Don't get me wrong, Jesus was cool, he was a good person and his followers should try to be more like him, it's just his god I don't like.

I can't help it if hollywood doesn't know how to make a movie. Try the 1974 Jesus Film by the Jesus Project. Don't be scaredy.

That dude, Mel, has problems. His fame and fortune has thrust him infront of a huge mirror so that now all he can see or hear is his own ego. Sad, messed-up man.

Why? You don't like suffering? Or just want to be blind for the rest of your lives?

People suffer everyday, mofo. Why don't you take care of the everyday suffering than worrying about some movie?
