For the those who do not reside in Singapore, polytechnic students must pay adult transportation fares whilst students in Junior Colleges pay their fares at a cheaper student rate. This is so despite the fact the poly students are of the same age group as JC students. Why the discrimination?

yup.i highly agree with you.they are of the same age and that means they take up the same amount of space in the buses and trains.this issue has not been resolved for many years due to singapore polytechnic student union incapabilities!anyhow,i think the main reason is because we're no longer under MOE so therefore,they do not really bother about our welfare.so the problem will always remain unsolved until someone else except that stupid school's union step up!

The public transportation fares for concession passes are based not on the age but on the qualification that you are attending to. Polytechnic students are considered tertiary students, the same as university students. As such, they are subjected to adult fare similar to university students.

Polytech should look into a reduced fare contract with the transit authority like the junior colleges do.

properly, i think of three.0 and above it stable. explanation why i'm asserting that's: maximum scholarships for masters scholars require that to made 3.0 or greater effectual even in the previous bothering to stay with in the 1st place.l i'm in my 2d semester(1st year) analyzing BSc Agriculture. 6 out of 7 of ultimate semester's classes result are out and that's around 2.fifty seven. i decide for to push greater good and make greater effectual than 3.0 sooner or later.

welcome and only in singapore. technically, a poly student is just as income incapacitated as any jc student and technically they should be entitled to student concession . this is the same as any scheme in entire europe for students who gets the same concession in their respective country.
