SIMILRATIES:
1- intentional killing by the Americans.

2- many cases of Americans raping teenagers before killing all the family.

3- sabotaging and using prohibited weapons by the Americans.

4- both were launched for fake justifications presented by presidents.

DIFFERENCES:
1- in Vietnam, both the American people and president were losing something. In Iraq, only the American people is losing while the president is getting his bank account fatter.

2- in Vietnam, the people sacrificed everything. In Iraq, only about 5 percent of the Arabs are sacrificing .... but one day .. sooner or later ... will avenge what happened to their cousins in Iraq. Arabs are one people ...though 22 countries.

3- there is difference in thenumber of American casualties .... but soon will hopefully be equal.

Some. They're both wars. They're both contested by members of the press and a large portion of American Civilians. A pull out in Vietnam led to a horrifying massacre of hundreds of thousand as would Iraq.

On the other hand, in Vietnam there were 58,000 soldiers lost, where as Iraq has resulted in 3,000 deaths. Not a lot of similarity there.

As far as the population dying, there were more people dead during Vietnam than in Iraq... We are better equipped and we have better technology than we did back then... Not so sure about a mad leader if you are talking about our president... He is doing what he feels is right... We are finishing what his father started...

Yes there are, other than the locale the us forces are in the open in the desert instead of the jungle, the president did not take into account the reaction of the Iraqi people,he failed to account for security before the war,he allowed the prisoners released whom then in turn joined the terrorist factions, and then he allowed former enemiesto join the security forces,it was in effect giving these butchers carte blanche to kill from within, the cost is growing.the deaths are rising, deserters are growing, the american people are rising up against bush, all this is simaluar to the vietnam conflict. It is avery bad state of affairs that the president is causing the deaths of thousands of americans in the name of the war on terrorism,he should be very ashamed for every american death along with his allies

properly, I even have not been to Iraq yet i exchange right into a protection tension medivac pilot in Vietnam. There somewhat isn't any parallel between the two wars for my area. And we in lots of situations say that we lost in Vietnam yet did we actually? The domino thought exchange into the reason we went to warfare in Vietnam. the belief exchange into that if communism took carry in southeast Asia like it did in North Korea that international places could start to fall into Communism throughout the pacific rim. Many historians now say, although in hind sight, that our stance in Vietnam dissuaded the U.S. and China from pursuing Communist domination someplace else. Thailand, Laos and Cambodia are examples of international places that are no longer Communist to at present time. Vietnam exchange into yet one skirmish in the chilly warfare that we finally won. i think of it is going to be seen if our stance against the U.S. expansionist schedule did no longer have a great deal to do with the perfect failure of international communism. And heck, even Vietnam is transforming into a capitalist united states of america now that they have got seen how properly one among those device of government grants for that's human beings.

War's war. There's no getting around that.

I only served in one not the other so I can't compare them. However having served in one I can say that media representations were not accurate and I doubt if the other acounts are accurate either.

Yes....the fact that the media spins that we are losing....as far as casualties...not even close.

We had over 50,000 casualties in Vietnam...we aren't even close to that in Iraq.
