About 2 and a half months ago my boyfriend of 4 years (whom i was living with for about a year) left me. We had never had any problems during our relationship and were even talking about marriage. I had no suspecions that he was leaving as we had just resigned our lease for another year the week before. Anyway, since he has left we have kept in contact over email and msn. When he left he said he needed to get his life in order and was almost getting fired from his job. About a week ago he was sending me messages telling me he missed me and still had feelings for me and HAD to meet me. But the day before we were supposed to meet he backed out and said he would want to get back together if he saw me and he wasnt ready yet as he still had to many important things going on but that we would get back together just not right now. But since then he has backed right off and has now told me hes not sure if we will get back together...i dont understand..is he coming back? please help!

that sound bizarre. are you sure he isn't seeing anyone else? he should have more respect for you than to keep you on a string like this. and you really need to change the locks. if he comes back and you decide to try to make the relationship work, you can always have another key made. better safe than sorry!

Get on with your life and stop allowing him to hold you in limbo. So that if and when he finally comes around you would not have wasted your time and can make a decision as to whether or not you really want him back in your life based on where you are at at that point in your life.

I think he;s still love ou it that he wants to get his life together, maybe you might want to ask him did he do anything wrong, if not maybe he just want a little space, and maybe he really want to marry you and got a little nervous about it because he's really in love with you. Just keep your head up he knows if he has a real good thing. Good Luck

its over he's just waiting to see how long you will wait of him while he does whatever he wants. Just let go if he can't hang in there threw the bad times do you really want him around. Get your key back and move on. He's holding the key to your heart dear.

Tell him to stop playing games...that you are not a child.

Get your key back, immediately. Carry on with yourself, YOUR life…I’m sure you know exactly what I mean. Accept yourself, don’t take his irresponsibility personal. It is his problem that you can’t allow him to be a part of your life this way. Be firm and be honest with yourself. Go for what you want in life; tell yourself what is it that YOU want from YOUR self in life. What are you asking from yourself to give to yourself in the future (I’m sure you are not telling yourself that you want to marry a wussy-boy).

Continue to be the great woman that you are and let that guy grow up on his own. What he is telling you with his actions is that he is still a child and that he is afraid of growing up (and unless you are his mom) you are NOT responsible for his upbringing.

Continue to be the best you can be for yourself, family and friends. Get your life on track with your wants and needs. And remember; don’t take anyone’s lack of responsibility personal, it’s not on you. You are responsible for your own actions.

I feel bad that you are on this rollercoaster. I wonder how long he is expecting you to put your life on hold while he carries on with his. Sounds silly, but i watched Casanova the other night and a quote from it was: Be the flame not the moth. Good luck to you.

believe me when i say this .it doesn't take for him to move out and leave you all alone in apartment by yourself .he is leading you on he has somebody else on the side . take your key from him ,and move on with your life. when you told you he love you he says the feelings mutual instead of saying i love you to. you have to love him enough to let go. that's going to benefit you in the long run. good luck

Why waste any more of your time on this.

Let him call you. If he says what you want to hear that's one thing.

But remember what has gone on before. How can you be sure it isn't the same old thing.
