It can be done, but please don't try it. The chemicals used are strong enough to rip through the scratch resistant coating also.

If your lenses are new, let's say under 3 months, you may be able to go to the optical shop and have them order new lenses at no charge or at minimal cost.

Also note, not all A/R coats are the same...Walmart, Lenscrafters, Eyemasters, and America's contacts all use a less expensive coating and coating process where the coating will scratch easily or peel from the lenses.
