Just doing a follow-up on a question I answered. What religion do you belong to (if you want to share that)? Can anybody be certain their faith is absolutuely correct on all things? What do you think of others with different religious philosophies and practices? Should we be tolerant and allow other relgious teachings or is there only really one "true" teaching and the others should be stopped from misrepresenting Gods words? Should we have and allow a variety of religious philosophies or would the world be better if united by one faith? Just throwing out some q's.

I am a Christian. This may be disputed by some for certain things I do, say or believe.

Not everything deemed "Christian" is true and pure religion. Religion has become a dirty word even in my mind for what "religion" itself connotes. I say Christian because I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and have been spiritually reborn. I believe the Bible is the God breathed word.

All serious religious philosophies and practices contain some to much truth. But, I believe that the real Jesus Christ is the only way whereby we obtain salvation and eternal life.

I believe in freedom and people having the right to even misrepresenting God's word. God gave them that freedom to choose what they believe. I don't want anybody to choose what I believe for me. They cannot. They may be able to force outward adherence to some sort of standard, but they cannot change my heart or cause true transformation.

There should not be one united faith because that would mean that freedom is taken away. Freedom isn't free. I think it was Benjamin Franklin that said, correct me if I'm wrong, "he who would sacrifice liberty for safety deserves neither".

The first corruption of mankind was taught. Take that into consideration, even with all the great minds of the past and of today and what advancements in humanity have we made as a society.
The misuse of the word Freedom and Choice, makes us singular therefore we are divided on religion, to unite our taught would mean giving up our life to better mankind. what I mean by life is our material possessions, mainly money and power.
Therefore the religion of None is what we have today because we are singular in thought. We now feel we can believe what ever we want about any part of the bible or God. Also we say one thing and do another, why because of knowledge. We have become so knowledgeable that we forgot where we come from and why that started before Jesus was born. So what we need to do is try to forget knowledge and search our real reason for surviving

All in existence, that means everything, everywhere and every when is god. God is the only thing that exists. So the only person who is truly convinced and knows for sure their religion is the right one is the the person who can not only proclaim they are god, but the one who will get the respect of all, not because they demand it, but because they have earned it by showing compassion and mercy when it doesn't count and being very firm when it does. When that being speaks, everyone will listen. Until then it is up to the individual speck of god inside of us to decide what path to follow.

Eventually everyone will come to the same conclusion...You will head in the direction that you are looking and you will get good at what you practice. If you want to change your life you must change where you look and you must change what you practice. If you don't have a direction to change too, then you will fall back into your old habits. The best way is then to look for good things to happen and practice being good.

In order to save humanity and the world from unintentional self-destruction, everyone on the planet will have to look in new directions and practice new things. Only one person is qualified to tell us where to look and what to practice. That is the personality of the soul that greets all when they die.

I believe there is a difference in Religion and Faith. There are many different religions in the world today. I think what we have to look at is which ones follow God's word, the Bible. Although there are many translations, most are pretty close in translation. I usually stick close to the King James Versions. Religions that concern me are those that teach that Jesus was never born; that you have to kill sinners to get a higher ranking with God; that worship other people in the Bible besides just God.

Hope I answered your question. If not feel free to email me.

My own personal opinon ( and I do belong to an organized religion by choice) is that as long as we believe in the peaceful higher power-- we may all worship as we choose-- there are original religions and variants of that-- but they are all slightly different in some ways-- I think if we were all united in one religion, it would eliminate our individual choices and beliefs-- we are too varied to be categorized in one religion-- I think our higher power knows this, and is probably marveling at the fact that we are all bickering over "who is right" rather than focusing on the reason we are here and being better people-- in the end -- it is those that have been nonjudgmental and behaved as decent, kind human beings that will be the least distressed-- whatever their choice of faithful worship.

I'm convinced so far that mine is the only true religion. I made it up myself though so I guess technically its more of a cult. In a nut shell I believe that this life we're living is a temporary stay in a period of our existence in which we are aware of time. Before and afterwards we merely exist (too little time to explain how or where). The very concept of time during this life is enough to skew our senses and bring about all sorts of unnatural and extremely unpleasant states of being, greed for example (I only have so much time so I must live with everything I can get because one day time will run out). How many people have you met, perhaps you're one of them, who put off family and friends for a career? The concept of time once again. Anyway, I must get going, time is not on my side, it encroaches yet again. So long and see you in the aftertime.

That's why Constantine started the Christian religion and ask the guys at Nicea to put together the bible. So all the people and him could worship one religion and he would not have to worry about offending any of the people.
And today the Christians are still trying to make everyone believe that if they don't go to their church, whatever sect it may be, that we will go to hell because we did not accept their God.
There is no true religion because religion was created by humans not God.

NO. Every religion is a combination of traditional ways of worshipping God and the "faith in the Almighty". Traditions vary from culture to culture and different religions appear to be different and tailered to different societies and their ways of living. But the underlying "faith in the Almighty" is the same for all religions.

well, i used to be christian but that religion just wasn't working out for me. so now, i don't believe in any particular religion. i do however, acknowledge that there is a higher being.

i respect everyone for their religious beliefs. you know why? because i'm not god and i don't know ANYTHING for sure (regarding religion)

i sometimes get upset when i see/hear people judging each other because they don't believe in the same thing.

also, i sometimes laugh to myself, when i hear people proclaim that their religion is the ONLY way... because i wonder how on earth they know this for certain... are they god??

oh well, i guess until i die, i won't know if the path i've chosen is the right one

I don't believe in any religion and I don't care about any religion either.

I think that religion is just a form of mind control. Just look at the Roman Catholic Church during the Middle Ages and even the influence of the Pope today.
