Did Jesus ever say that he was God? No, he never did. Rather, in the Bible he is called “God’s Son.” And he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 10:34-36; 14:28) Also, Jesus explained that there were some things that neither he nor the angels knew but that only God knew. (Mark 13:32) Further, on one occasion Jesus prayed to God, saying: “Let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If Jesus were the Almighty God, he would not have prayed to himself, would he? In fact, following Jesus’ death, the Scripture says: “This Jesus God resurrected.” (Acts 2:32) Thus the Almighty God and Jesus are clearly two separate persons. Even after his death and resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus was still not equal to his Father.—1 Corinthians 11:3; 15:28.
'But isn’t Jesus called a god in the Bible?’ someone may ask. This is true. Yet Satan is also called a god. (2 Corinthians 4:4) At John 1:1, which refers to Jesus as “the Word,” some Bible translations say: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” But notice, verse 2 says that the Word was “in the beginning with God.” And while men have seen Jesus, verse 18 says that “no man hath seen God at any time.” (Authorized or King James Version) So we find that some translations of verse 1 give the correct idea of the original language when they read: “The Word was with God, and the Word was divine,” or was “a god,” that is, the Word was a powerful godlike one. (An American Translation) Clearly, Jesus is not Almighty God. In fact, Jesus spoke of his Father as “my God” and as “the only true God.”—John 20:17; 17:3.

Scripture is very clear on this issue. John 1:1 in the Greek word order, states, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word. John 10:30, I and the Father are one. John 8:58, before Abraham was, I am. John was combating Gnosticism which relegated Jesus to less than God. Compare Isaiah 44:6 with Revelation 1:17. Same person is speaking Colossians 1:14-18, Paul was also answering Gnosticism, this is the Great Christological passage. Hebrews 1: 5-13, Jesus is identified as the creator, and is called God. In Luke 5: 20-26, demonstrates His prerogatives as God, be forgiving sin and healing the paralytic. Jesus is 100 % God and 100% man.

The Bible does call Jesus a mighty God in Isaiah 6:9. The word God has various definitions, the first is the Almighty /creator, another is 'a powerful ruler'...(Webster's on line)
But YHWH is called the Creator, and Almighty God.
Jesus told Satan, "It is YHWH your God you must worship band it is to him alone that you must render sacred service." Matthew 4
Jesus helped YHWH create everything, Jesus is also called 'The Word", because He has always represented God's word to angels and to men.
Another reason the trinity is not true, is because there are 2 persons, not 3 involved in our worship.
2Corinthians 3:17 Now YHWH is The Spirit, and where the Spirit of YHWH is, there is freedom.
YHWH/Jehovah is the Holy Spirit, and spirit from him is also translated, arm, hand, finger and power.
Jesus, the Son of God is a powerful ruler, hence God. But not his Father the Almighty God. Jesus is our helper, in worshiping the Father, by word, sacrifice and becoming the King of the Kingdom of the Heavens. Daniel 2:44.

Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Jesus is part of the trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Because Jesus is one with the father, yet He put on humanity to show us the Way to the Father. When we confess Jesus Christ our Lord & believe in His resurrection, Jesus Father is also our Father God in Heaven.
He is the Son of the God, born of a virgin. If He is the Son of God, then He is God. He is the Word of God, & the Word was with God in the beginning before the earth was, and is God.

Thats what i have been asking. Why do people say Jesus is God and you should accept Jesus as your God but then they say that God is the father of Jesus. Now if God is Jesus how can that be as they say that no one has ever seen God but they have seen jesus. Im lost.
Great Question.

That is Jesus talking in that verse. The My Father part is Jesus talking about God (his father). And your father means your father (the person/people he was talking to at the time). And to my God (That means Jesus's God or his father). And your God: That means the people who he was talking to's father). I hope this helps!

Jesus is both the Son of God and God. This is part of the Holy Trinity.

Jesus certainly claimed to be God...why do you think the Jews always wanted to stone Him?
He told Philip, "If you have seen me, Philip, you have seen the Father".
You can't be much clearer than that!
Jesus also said, "I and my Father are one".
The Divinity of Christ is clearly established from Scripture. And of course, that is what upsets most unbelieveres and Muslims.

Yes Jesus is God. In the old testaments they write about the actions and names of God that only God can fulfill. Then in the New Testament they write about the actions and names for Jesus, and they matches God's names and action. I totally believe that Jesus is God!
