I talked to a recruiter who told me you get paid for everything in the Army. I want to be in the reserves.

So, how much would ya earn in basic training?

around 2200-3000 I think, dependent on your rank but don't forget about AIT I can't tell you how much you will make there because that will depend on the MOS you choose...the time will decide. Here is a pay chart for 06

You will either go in as an E-1,2,3, or 4. You'll get paid as active duty because during training you are in an active status. If you have dependents (married or kids) you will receive BAH, which varies based on your zip code, and separation allowance, which is 250 a month. I'm from CT and I made about 2600 a month during basic as an E-2.

By the way, the reserves doesn't pay for much. The active duty is where the money is... not to say that you get wealthy, but they definately do take care of you. Ask your recruiter what you'll get specifically during basic. Ask about base pay, BAH, seperation allowance and what else you will recieve.

By the way, don't join until after Oct 1... the fiscal year will restart and bonuses will skyrocket.

There is a pay scale that you can look up on www.mil.com and depending on what rank you go into basic at will be the amount of money you get. Now AIT may be a little different because there is a possibility that you Can get promoted while at AIT and the pay goes up just a tad more. The National Guard is a branch of the Army and we pay 100% college tuition, have an enlistment bonus, and other opportunities to earn more money. Try visiting 1800go-guard.com. It will give all the info you would need.

That really depends on your experience going into basic. Those who have an associates degree will earn more and have a higher rank by the time they get out of basic then others.

That depends on your rank upon entering basic training and whether or not you are married or not. Usually, everyone enters the service as either an E-1(enlisted ) or O-1(officer). Sometimes, there are incentives out there that allow enlisted to enter basic as E-2's or E-3's if they meet certain criteria. So depending on these factors, this is what determines your pay. Here is a chart to get a general idea as to how much you will make. http://www.dod.mil/dfas/militarypay/newinformation/WebPayTableVersion2006updated.pdf

Your recruiter will be able to provide you with better figures.

It depends on your rank when you go in and where you live. As a reservist you will get BAH (basic housing allowance) based on your zip code. If you live in California you will get a great deal more than if you live in Texas, for example.

The following is the pay you are eligible for in basic training as a reservist:

Base pay (based on your rank)
BAH (based on your rank, dependent status, and zip code)
Family Seperation (only eligible if you have a spouse or children)

The following is a link to show base pay. If you go into basic training with a rank less than E-2, your recruiter hasn't done his job.

The following is a link to find you BAH. Input your rank, zip code and dependent status and it will give you the figures for 2006:

If you have children or a spouse you will recieve an additional $250 a month.

You are required to also pay all federal and state taxes. If you have children or a spouse, there will be a fee for dental insurance. You will also be charged for SGLI (life insurance). All of this will come directly out of your check.

it depends on your rank. most people come in as an E1 but there are things you can do to come in getting paid more, the recruiters have a list of tasks you complete that would get you to the rank of E2 and then if you recruit someone into the army you get bumped up to E3 you should do that. private pay is about 1000 a month.

depends on your rank. Look at the pay scale and what your rank will be. That will tell you how much a month u will make.
