This war is really hard to take sides on because both side have a valid reason to fight. Americans tend to go with Israel because that is who the media and president keep saying. I am leaning a bit more toward the Palestinian side.

Palestine : A lot of animosity towards Israel from their occupation. Even though they left the feelings don't just go away over night. Israel is their arch enemy per say and with all the Zionism they are afraid they will lose their country again.

They attacked Israel’s military, not their civilians. And when it comes to the weapons, they are not very accurate so when they fire them off they no clue where they will land. They don't aim they just shoot so if they hit civilians it wasn't necessarily intentional. Israel however has been hitting areas where they know there are civilians (not always but they have)

Israel: Defending themselves. A group of Palestinians attacked a man and his family that they were trying to kidnap. The baby was smothered and the father and older daughter's heads were smashed in. They have a ruthless manner of fighting and if this is what they did to civilians they can expect worse to be done to their soldier. Of course they are justified. The war was waged on them.

So as you see both are justified. It is a very hard decision to make. I lean towards Hezbollah because no one here seems to know all the great they do for their country. They have begun to rebuild the area's damaged, provide life and health insurance, schools, hospitals, jobs, and most importantly defense for their people. I hope this information helps you a bit. There is so much more behind it but this should be a good start.

obviously palestine..
why is israel having the votes of most answerers in yahoos.
oh let me get this straight.of course, they have been deceived and lied by their leaders and the medias who had created more havocs than anyone.

Israel has invaded the lands of the Palestines. How was that right voted for ISrael.oh wait..oh unless of course you have the heart of a cold-hearted human, yes u'd say that the israel is by far right than anyone elses.i mean c'mon,a little killing of the innocents surely make the israel the bttr ones.sheesh, havent you guys learnt anything from the history or had any moral ethics lesson lately?well if no,i cant say much to correct the views here.

seriously, palestines had not done anything to trigger this war in the middle east.it was the israelis who did that by killing the innocents eveyday.which person would not get defensive if their lands had been attacked and they might be thrown off their homes.that is just what the palestines did.protecting themselves and their families.but it is sadder for them as they do not have the mass weapon like the israelis.mind you the weapons are sponsored by none other than the US and the BRits.for the palestinians, they've been using stones and pebbles to throw down the israelis guards.now how is that fair?
and certainly i cant blame them for the suicide bombings there.what little dignities they had left after the ISraelis had taken away eveything from their properties to their loved ones.what could be more saddening than this.just imagine u are the palestinians.would you stand back and watch ur country collapses,ur loved ones killed and everything that they could take away from u?I dont think so!!!!

and i'm certainly hoping that eveyone would take on the Palestinians plight and save them form these attacks..

Here is the Situation: In 1948 the United Nations took a piece of what was then called British Palestine, ( a british protectorate after the dissolution of the Ottoman empire after WWI) Frome this region they formed two states. Israel and Palestine. The instant the country was formed, Israel was attacked by the combined forces of Egypt, Trans-Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Siria, and Iraq. The battle raged for many days and was disastrous for the combined Arab armies.. They came to a cease fire agreement, and Israel survived. But here is the problem. Jordan seized control of the west bank and Egypt took Gaza. The palestinian refugees didn't not have a homeland even though they were promised one by the UN before the war and had it taken away by their "brothers-in-arms". After the many wars of the Arab-Israeli conflict, even the West Bank and Gaza were lost to the Israelis, as well as the Golan heights and all of the sinai desert. The Palestinians were then sent around the world as refugees and kick out of every arab nation untill they finally settled in southern Lebanon, in the 1960's. A man by the name of Arafat started a Terrorist Organization called the PLO. Who were responsible for the massacre of Jewish athletes at the Olympic Games in Munic in 1972. Israel in the 1990's tried to settle the disagreement, by giving up the land that had been such a thorn in its side. they negotiated with Arafat and gave up to himn 98% of the palestinian demands. Arafat with his Nobel Peace Prize, abandoned the path of peace and called again for a new Intifada. We are still suffering the effects of this betrayal around the world even today.

So in my not so humble opinion, I know that the Israelis have done more than can be expected of a nation underseige. Palestine has had its opportunities to settle the disagreement. but each time they have walked away. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Israel, hands down!!! At least Israel has the balls to do what America seems incapable of doing, that is killing terrorists. There will be no peace in the Middle East (or the world, for that matter) until each and every terrorist is exterminated.

Radical Islamism today is nothing but a new form of Nazism.

Historically there has never been a country called Israel or Palestine until the 20th century.

At least the Israelis have done something with the land.

Actually who cares! this is about OIL. The Jews are expendable, the Arabs are expendable, the Palestinians are certainly expendable and even American soldiers are expendable.
Few people realize just how important OIL is to the survival of the USA.
No OIL no USA.
It is exactly that simple.
