ok Lana S, first i didnt say anything about a movie, and it says in "the bible" that jesus did get tortured, like getting whiped and throns placed on his head..... (saying in my eyes was wrong, and the word ego to me...)
and yes he did love us , but i know the quote is " that GOD so loved the world, that HE gave his only begotten son"
and again all i wanted to know is, if you knew that U would be with gods kingdom for ever, would u go though what jesus did.

Sure. If you knew with 100% certainty (not the guess that is faith but the certainty only obtainable by a god who absolutely knows everything in the Universe) that after a few hours of terrible pain you would leave the confines of an earthly body and rule in Heaven then anyone would do it. What's the sacrifice really? Throughout history people have given their lives and have undergone torture and pain to help others. But those people did not know that they were God and that they were about to resume their place in charge of Heaven after several hours of the pain. Many people have given up their only lives believing that it was the only life they had. Now that's a true sacrifice.
And don't get me started on whether a father is sacrificing his son if by sacrifice you mean that his son is coming home to live with him for the rest of eternity.

i would hope that i have the courage to go though what he went though. however, this day and age would it be enough to change the life styles of some people out there or it take more. you would think the spread of innocent blood so our sins will be forgiven would be enough. but some people want a lot more. i just hope that i live good enough and believe strong enough to get to heaven on my own. so i know this is a little long but for some reason i felt like spilling my thoughts.

Dear Truthfinder: I was interested in your very good question. I would like to share some thoughts with you. First, we need to identify what Jesus "went through."
Unfortunately, this present generation hasn't had any bigger-than-life motion pictures on the story of the Christ. The Passion of the Christ is the only one I can think of. Back in the 1950s there were many of them produced that were quite epic in scope. They still stand today quite well. NOW, I ATTEMPT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION:
The elements NOT contained in this movie, The Passion of Christ are, for instance, the word Transcendence - the Plan of the Holy Spirit through Christ, and the Holy Spirit's Promise.
There are many levels of learning about spirituality/religion, or about your Self. As you may know, Jesus does teach one on one, if you invite Him into your life. The teachings, explanations given as you read, Guidance and instruction from Him are heard in your inner thoughts and written forever upon your heart. How many of you have ever established a realtionship - through invitation - with Him? So many prefer to just read alone or belong to a church.
I say this because Jesus and the Holy Spirit have levels without end They will teach you if you will extend the invitation. One - just One of the teachings on an advanced level of learning through Them is the full glory of the word Transcendence. Did Jesus Himself also learn that lesson? Yes. He did. The Holy Spirit taught Him. Now, He teaches it.
The pain, torture and torment he suffered, in YOUR eyes, that makes you CONSIDER His love for you, is one path to Him. But may I suggest to you the cross had far more meaning than those elements. Remember the Resurrection? What does that tell you? And, if you do not believe in that - why do you choose to believe in the pain, torture and torment as more real? Because you know not of your Reality, your Self, your Creator and of things your 5 senses do not tell you about. . ..
"There is far more in heaven and earth, Horatio, than was ever dreamt of in your philosophy." Keep that in mind.
As a teacher, who has been in direct relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit for more than 21 years they have brought me to Transcendence. You would not believe what lays beyond that word. I witness to you - physical pain is of the human mind - not of Spirit. Your own spirit-mind, within you, is the home of the Holy Spirit who guides and teaches also. Now imagine linking your human mind (ego) to the thoughts and power of the Holy Spirit and experiencing transcendence of the physical!
I hope some of these lines are profitable to your contemplation.

Here we go again.
In answer to your question, truthfinder1960, I would if I were a true believer. Whether or not he dies on a cross, was impaled on a stake, or run over by a camel, whatever I believed - then it would be so.

The knowing releases fear of anything...and there are many of us who choose to go through much more physical endurance that Jesus did on the cross...some know that it is only an experience of here & now for our spirit growth, and others, sadly, do not.

No, I don't think that I am that strong a person. Especially since Jesus didn't die on the cross.

Pain and suffering is pain and suffering. I think the biggest sorrow God must of endured is knowing that Our Father was watching how cruel they were to His Son.

That's a really hard question to answer. I want to say yes, but I'm afraid I wouldn't have the nerve. Says a lot about what he was willing to do for us, doesn't it?

I don't know if I could handle it, but if it were for the people I loved I'd try to stick it out... I would probably die before I made it to Calgary though.
