Ah, this is the joke you were referring to in the other question.
Hmmm. Strictly speaking, the idea of playing off the word "crippled" and then tying it to the handicapped space is amusing, if a bit contrived. If people are saying it isn't funny (and I haven't read the other answers), it might be because it starts with a false premise, that atheists are "crippled" when it comes to faith. Most atheists have no interest in faith at all, so I can see where they might not fall over laughing at this quip.

Shedoblyde, have you ever considered that not all Christians are crippled in the thinking department? Rhetorical question; obviously you haven't.
Faith in God does not require bowing to the dogma of an organized religion. All it requires is some observation -- and Atheists have proven they don't have this ability. Science continually proves God's existence; the same science Atheists insist disproves it.
To answer this question as posted: no, Atheists should not be given this priviledge. They are too stupid to know how to use it.

Can I fake being an atheist? I hate having to park like a city block away from Super Wal-Mart just to run in and grab some milk.

Well, we Atheists feel sorry for your mental inferiority. How pitiful it is to see grown adults that still believe in such a ridiculous, laughable fairy tale. Maybe there should be a designated 'believers' parking area. I'm still bafflled that the govt. would issue a drivers license to an adult who is mentally compromised to that degree. Do you still put your teeth under your pillow at night?

Atheists are generally free thinkers. That doesn't sound like a handicap to me. Wake up everyone, lets start believing in ourselves and each other, instead of this god no one can prove even exists. Peace and love to you all.

Your question while you intend it to be funny is very insulting. But I suppose 90 % of my stuff is also insulting.
Ask an atheist what they believe happens when they die.
They say nothing.
Ask what proof.
There is no proof that nothing happens when we die.
Hence an atheist has faith, faith that when they die nothing will happen.
It's the agnostics that have no faith and seek evidence and proof, not the atheist.

We all know theists are crippled when it comes to thinking, as they believe in fairy tails. Should we let them in the special Olympics because of it?
Edit:sorry first answer, guess we think alike.

We all know that Christians are crippled when it comes to thinking, so should we let them ride the short bus?

You could, or you could stop judging others-- if you are truly of Christian faith, you will know that judging others is a sin-- and poking fun of others with different beliefs than yours is a bad example of being a Christian-- Take the high road and keep your mouth shut and practice your Christian values.
