Why are there more women in church than men?

There is a strange phenomenon in the church today, in many churches there are more women attending and commited than men. like wise a woman often gets saved before her husband. Is this because women are generally more sesitive spirutually and therefore more apt to respond to God or is it becasue the church as we know it today is incomplete in its revelation and way of working, therefore appealing and reaching out to the feminine side more than the masculine side of people? And if so how do we need to change in order to be complete in our Christianity?

Part of the problem is the feminization of the church that has occurred over the years. Go to many churches, and you will often see all kinds of feminine touches. A church in my area just got painted pink, although the congregation prefers to call it "coral." (Guess what the attendance mix is like...you guessed it, predominately women.)

Many men, already suffering from what the feminists have done over that past forty years to neuter men, often refuse to go to a place that is rife with femininity. In many places church is little more than a social club. It often lacks anything that appeals to manhood.

We forget that Jesus was a man. And though He valued women, having them within His band of disciples, and receiving support from them, He lived a distinctively male life. But the porcelain, diminutive, glossy Jesus that has been marketed to men has no appeal. Only the Jesus of the Bible will draw men to Him.

Only when churches go back to being unapologetic to men about their maleness, and have men assume their biblical leadership roles, will men start going back. As long as the church acts worldly, hoping to somehow attract the world with shadows of Christianity, rather than authentic Christianity, men will stay away in droves.

I think there are more women in the world, due to homicides, war, and prison, and men die earlier than women. I am a Christian, and I have wondered about this also. I also think in America men have a macho thinking, that they should be in control and women dont really have this. Its easier to give total control to God when you are a woman, I think some men have to realize that they can't control everything and God is in control.
