yes, being critical is very fair in society, it is the only way we advance as a people. What if no one throughout the ages pointed anything else out? How would we ever learn or know we were doing something wrong?
People are critical of others INSIDE their OWN religion as well as outside.
Nothing is sacred. You have to get that out of your head.
We are all one people and communication--sometimes through criticism--is the way we develope as a people for the hope of a better tomorrow filled with understanding and cooperation.

As salam alaikum. U must understand that evil comes in various ways. DECEIT, TRICKERY, LIES, N FALSIFICATION. If anyone criticize you, they must have found out you are better than them so, the only way to relate to you is paint you different coluors of evil n find ways to make you look bad. However, what is, will be. Evil always loses out. Be yourself n leave the critic alone. I hope this will give you good insight on how to deal with such ideas n thioughts. Maa salam.

Criticize them, yes it is wrong. Tell the true, Jesus said, "Preach the gospel" If it is wrong,it is wrong no criticizing needed. The problem is most people want to tell you what they believe and do not want to hear what you have to say. As a Christian and a follower of Christ I will listen to you, If you will listen to me. Then we will pray and ask God which one is right. If it is you then I will apologize and we can be friends, but if I am right, will(you/they) do the same.

It would be stupid not to criticize religions. Even if religions were generally right, criticism would serve to force the religious to refine their views and behaviors. Failure to criticize is what leaves us with sloppy traditions and practices. Since religion so dominates American culture and politics, it would be a terrible dereliction of duty to fail to criticize it.

Taking a critical look at a belief system isn't stupid at all. Some belief systems are very sketchy. It would be foolish to accept every religious claim at face value. Besides, would God give us the ability to think if he didn't want us to use it?

Of course. There is no such thing as a once size fits all religion, even though the christians tend to think so. I myself do not care what religion a person is. If it makes them happy then that is fine. I just don't want you to come to me and tell me that mine is wrong. It may be wrong for you but it is perfect for me.

The truth of the matter is that most religions have dysfunctional aspects to them. You are right, not everybody adheres to those dysfunctional aspects.

But some do creating much suffering in this world. By publicly exposing various dysfunctions it helps to reduce the amount of people engaging in those dysfunctions. This method gives them much needed information to defend themselves before they become indoctrinated and it is too late.

If someone told you that man is wise, they lied. People always want to be better than others so their 'God' must be better than your 'God'. We believe what is in our hearts to believe and we should respect others for their thoughts. I don't know your religion but I can tell you about mine. I was born in American, raised as a Catholic (scared me) but my family move to Hong Kong and after my life changed (both parents died), I was adopted by a Chinese family and I wasn't pushed into Buddhism, but I wanted it....so I am Buddhist. I don't have a shaved head, or do that stuff but I believe in my religion. Perhaps if I lived in Arabia, the Muslim religion would have worked for me...I don't know but I am happy with my beliefs. Don't listen to others...you have to make your own choices about your life and perhaps Heaven, Nirvana or Paradise...but don't argue it...don't let people make you fight for your innermost beliefs...they are private. You believe with your heart.

Yes because everyone is brainwashed to believe in something. They just end up taking it personally and get angry if you think something different. I asked one question on here to get a discussion going and I had both the Christians, atheists, hindus, muslims, etc. whinning and crying. They didn't read the question and provide their answer. They just provided their own pre-programmed response.

I think "criticizing " another 's religion is judgmental and God teaches us not to. I personally think that religion is like hats .... everyone needs a different style and size. You have to go with what makes you whole ... what makes you feel close to God !! If you don't you can't worship him effectively.
