well they have to feed their young, and on discovery animals, a baby whale was underneath the mother suckling, so I assume she has mammary glands

Whales don't have ti ts. Yes whales are mammals, but whales have what you call mammary slits.There is one of these slits on both sides of the whale. In them there is one nipple in each. The whale calf puts its mouth to the slit, like it is puckering up for a kiss, and suckles, milk comes out of the nipple.

In fact, the word mammal comes from the mammary gland in the female of the species. All that stuff you learned in school about warm blooded, hair, live young etc. are just shared traits. If the female doesn't have the mammary gland and hence the ability to suckle the young, you just don't have a mammal (of course this rule excepts surgical removal or an absence due to birth defect). Witness the duck billed platypus and it's antique habit of laying eggs. I.E. they don't deliver live young but they do nurse them.

Yes. Whale and dolphins both nurse their young. ALL mammals nurse their young.

yes i belive they do but im sure baby whales have a way to suckle without biting their mom...maybe they dont have sharp teeth when they are born
