I can't beleive why we consumers have to be gouge by some ford dealerships on their ford gt500's. I understand the secondary market has the right to push the vehicles up, but for a dealership I think is wrong. I remember when the thunderbirds came out and they gouge, How would you like to have one now, when alot of people paid over $ 50k for them in 2002. I believe the same thing will happen on the gt500.

They can set any price they want. If people are stupid enough to PAY it, they will continue to DO it.

All dealers price gouge.

Remember when the newly redesigned Honda Odyssey came out in 1999? Dealers were charging $3K over sticker... for like 4 years. And it's a friggin minivan!

Same with Dodge Neon, PT Cruiser, Mini Cooper, New Beetle, etc. I went to look at the Neon in 1995 and dealers marked-up the price by $2000!

Don't like it? Don't buy it.

Yes, it's possible for you to report them for Price Gouging if you have enough evidence to back you up(I'm not saying you don't, I'm just saying for advice), I mean,If you're just going to waste your time, your plan will most likely Backfire and you'll take it worse then when you started off.

Well, you pretty much answered your own question...GT500. Is a performance car. They don't really want to sell it to just anyone.
