With decreasing fluency:

1. English "Hi, I'm from Europe. How do you do?"

2. French "Salut, je viens de l'Europe. Comment ça va?"

3. German "Hallo, ich komme aus Europa. Wie geht's?"

4. Spanish "Hola, soy de Europa. Como estas?"

5. Italian "Ciao, sono dall' Europa. Come va?"

6. Portuguese "Bom dia, sou de Europa. Como é que estás?"

7. Dutch "Daag, ik ben van Europa. Hoe maakt u het?"

8. Arabic "Marhaban, ana min Uropa. Kif'l hal?"

9. plus a dialect

...this is no joke. Just a matter of personal interest. Once you're into it you can't stop it. I'm not fluent in all of these. I'd like to learn chinese some day, but it seems to be hard, especially the signs. I had already a hard time with arab signs... ;-)

Only four natural languages: English, German, Chinese (Zhongguo hua), and Arabic. I'm still learning Arabic.

I have learned and used over 100 computer languages. I stopped counting in 1985 when I went over 100. I taught the Java language in High School in two general and one AP Programming class.
